As harvest wraps up for most of us, it is good to look back and reflect on the year. This 2019 vintage should again prove to be a good one. It is March 19th and we still seem to be dealing with this rainy winter weather. With a later bud break for the vines, we stand a better chance to withstand the elements, however with these late rains the issue of a heavy mildew year becomes a major priority. Many growers have unfortunately found out that most fungus types are now becoming resistant to many chemicals that are used to treat the different strains.
